Shop Local Ham & Turkey Giveaway

Have you ever wanted to be rewarded for shopping? Well the Yuma Chamber of Commerce wants to do just that! Throughout the month of November, hold onto your receipts from local businesses for a chance to win a turkey or ham! Write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt and drop it off at: Shop-All, City Hall, Lu Ella Women’s Boutique, Flower’s Express, Wildlee, Ace Hardware, and Farm House Market.

Vitalant Blood Drive – November 13th

The Vitalant Blood Drive will take place at the Yuma District Hospital on November 13th. The blood drive will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome! If you have any questions or would like to reserve a specific time, call Gini at 970-848-4602.

The Best Christmas Pageant – November 22nd – 24th

The Yuma Drama Club will be presenting The Best Christmas Pageant from November 22nd through the 24th at the Yuma High School. Tickets are $7.00 for ages 12 and up, $5.00 for children 0 – 11. Stop by and enjoy all of the hard work that these kiddos have put into preparing this performance.

Save Our Windows Flower Fundraiser

During the month of November, stop by The Home Place and pick up a Grab-n-Go bouquet of selected fall arrangements for just $20! These bouquets make for perfect center pieces at the dinner table, thank you flowers, or just a sweet thinking of you gift.
Proceeds will go towards the renovation of the First Presbyterian’s stained glass windows.

Craft Night – November 18th

Bring your closest friends and family to the Yuma Community Center for craft night on November 18th. This month, there will be a fun wine bottle decorating class going on. The class will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.. It is $25 to participate and an extra $10 for each additional bottle.

the Yuma District Hospital will be hosting their next Brown Bag Lunch n’ Learn on dry needling. This is a topic that many have wondered about or are interested in trying, so make sure to stop by and check it out.

Free Store Tour – November 19th

Eating healthy can be tough. That is why The City of Yuma has organized a FREE Store Tour so that you can better understand how to read labels and make healthy options for you and your family.
This 90-minute informational meeting will help you feel confident walking through the store and will come with a $10 gift card. The class goes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Shop-All.

“Holly Splash” Craft Show

Calling all crafters and vendors to the 2019 “Holly Splash” craft show. This will take place at the Yuma Community Center on November 23, 2019. Space is limited so spots will be given on a first come, first serve basis. If you have any questions, contact the community center at 970-848-0407 or at by email at communitycenter@yumacolo.org.

Roundhouse Vintage Market

Take advantage of various vendors, unique crafts, fall foods, and so much more when you stop by the Roundhouse Vintage Market. It will take place on November 22nd from 5:30 to 7:30 and November 23rd from 8:00 to 1:00. The market will be located on 4th and Buffalo. See you there!

Census 2020

The Census is going to be taking place from March through August of 2020. The information collected during this time contributes to the amount of funding that our county receives. The postcards will be sent to individual households to inform people where they can fill out their information. All information collected is completely confidential and can be answered in over 13 different languages. If you have any questions about the census, feel free to ask!

Book the Orphanage for Events

If you haven’t been to The Orphanage yet, you’re missing out on an incredibly beautiful place with so much to look at. With the holidays coming up and parties being organized, make sure to book The Orphanage for your large groups. They’d love to have you.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil at the Yuma Theater

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be showing at the Yuma Theater this week as she comes back for part 2 of her story. This film is rated PG and tells the story of Aurora as she prepares for her wedding to Prince Phillip. As you may have guessed, Maleficent has some other plans up her sleeve and, as she meets Aurora’s new step-mother, has someone to carry them out with.

The show times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5.00 for children (0-11), $7.00 for adults (12-64), and $6.00 for seniors (65+).
