Director, Yuma Chamber of Commerce
Hi, my name is Judy McFarland and am currently working part time at Flowers Express on Main Street in Yuma. This job has given me the pleasure to do something I love, play with flowers and I like the way we are lucky to get to know others through business relationships. Feel free to come in and introduce yourself and browse the store for gifts, plants and of course creative flower arrangements. We can help you in times of sorrow for funerals or times of celebrations for anniversaries, birthdays and weddings. We would love to meet you.
A little about myself;
I have one daughter who is married with two wonderful boys. They live not too far away and those grandsons are very special to me. My dad was born and raised here, left for many years and returned to his home, here in Yuma, for retirement. My grandparents lived in Eckley and farmed there for years raising pigs. I always loved coming down here for visits. So, when it was time for me to retire, I moved to Yuma, where I always felt at home. I was living up at the very crowded front range area, working at a corporate job for 34 years and one of the too many drivers on the road up there. All reasons for moving to this wonderful community where life is much simpler, and the people are more friendly. Along with being a member of the Chamber Board of Directors, I have joined a garden club, found a great church, trying to learn all about farming, go to some of the school sporting events….(Go Yuma Indians), have made many friends and am overwhelmed at the way this small town has made me feel at home and glad that I made the change. This is why I want to help keep Yuma a great place to live, to raise children, to open a business, to earn a living and thrive.
Come on over to Flowers Express and say “Hi”. Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you.
