Felicia Rodriguez
Secretary, Yuma Chamber of Commerce
About Me
Felicia works at Yuma District Hospital, for going on 4 years now, and joined the Chamber Board back in December of 2018. She grew up in the San Luis Valley, and went to school at Centennial, where she Graduated in 2011. “My family and I lived in a small house 10 miles from San Luis, in a beautiful, small town called El Rito. Felicia has lived in Yuma for 5 years now after moving from Sterling and receiving her cosmetology license.
Felicia was approached by the Chamber Board with hopes that she would join and represent one of the town’s biggest employers. She has done a great job, fully immersed herself in the position, and is now the organization’s secretary.
“My thoughts are when you make a commitment to something that you not only have to attend things , you have to show passion and motivation. I always say that when I grow old I want people to remember me for all of the good things I have done. I believe that being a member of the chamber I am able to do that. I am also bilingual, which I can communicate with the Hispanic community and try to get them involved more with the chamber and community events.”
Other than being involved with the Chamber, Felicia is a representative on the PFAC Hospital board, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and daughter. She is very pleased with the town she resided in and always works to keep it heading in the right direction.
“Yuma is a town that works hard for everything that our community has to offer. It is a safe place to live, and everywhere you go you will always meet someone with a smile. The scenery of the plains is beautiful as well. I come from a really small town and I am definitely not a city girl, but I love that everyone here is close more like family than anything. It has been a pleasure to be a part of Yuma and its great community!”
